Yes, you read that right: eleven babies! Is this really true, or is it just an urban tale spread by some great Photoshop work? Even though the picture doesn’t say much (and we all know how pictures can be deceiving), unnamed sources say that the 11 adorable babies in the picture above were born on November 11, 2011, which is a historically important date.
There is some truth to the picture of the eleven kids. Six of them were twins born to the same mother. The other five, on the other hand, are just lucky babies who were born on certain days. But wait a minute! According to the report, the Guinness Book of World Records was contacted to recognize the amazing feat. They said that “unofficial sources” are ready to provide even more proof of the mother giving birth to 11 babies.
According to formal news sources, the claim that a woman gave birth to 11 children during one pregnancy has not been proven or disproved at this time. Let’s take a step back and look at what’s going on from a medical and reasonable point of view. Does it make sense for a woman to carry 11 babies in her belly and have all of them born alive?
Medical journals say that several births can happen naturally. For example, if a woman ovulates more than one egg every month, all of them can be fertilized. Alternatively, if she only ovulates one egg, it splits right away after fertilization, making several babies. Because of treatments for infertility like in vitro fertilization, multiple births are becoming more popular. It is this process that “implants” more than one healthy egg into a woman’s womb so that the body will accept at least one of them. A woman may also ovulate more than one egg at the same time if she takes fertility drugs.

The sad truth is that having more than one baby generally leads to a lot of health problems down the road. Even though the babies live through birth, the facts show that many of them end up sick from different problems linked to their crowded life in the womb.
