Eden is gentle spirited person for as long as one can remember. Even when she was a stray dog sleeping under a tree and passersby dropped some food for her, she would only wag her tail gently.
Now that she is in an animal hospital waiting to be adopted, she cannot help reaching her paw through the cage and grabbing everyone’s hand as they pass by. Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy dog rescue, is not quite sure what prompted Eden to begin living under the tree in Southern California but when she arrived to rescue her, she knew that she had been there for quite some time.
“For weeks and weeks, she was under that tree,” Hall told The Dodo. “She wouldn’t leave. ” People went to Eden and placed food under the tree for her, but no one came to take her away. Thus, as soon as Hall learned about an adorable dog that needed a home, she did not lose time and took the dog in.
Hall saw the look of surprise and recognition on Eden’s face as soon as she noticed him. “She knew she was getting help,” Hall said. “She realized it was time to stop living under the tree. ”
Hall took Eden to the vet and her new friends wash her up. It was not long before the team discovered that the dog had a skin disease and she was also emaciated, and so the process of nursing the dog commenced. And pretty soon, she began to develop her own personality. “She is the sweetest dog you could ever meet,” Hall said. “He’s just a lover. ”
The vet team then proceeded to put Eden in her own kennel so that she could be able to heal on her own. In the beginning, Eden remained mostly in her bed, lying down and resting. But one day, a man at the hospital saw a paw, grey and white, of the dog sticking through the bars of the kennel. They took her paw and rubbed it gently, then they held it and squeezed it affectionately.
‘She just wants to hold our hand,’ Hall said. “She’ll take your hand and then she will look up at you and make the most adorable growl ever like, ‘I love you.
